This collection comprises high-quality handmade xuan paper and tribute paper (gongzhi) produced across China from the late 18th to the mid-20th century. Used for official documents, calligraphy, and traditional manuscripts, these papers reflect the craftsmanship and cultural aesthetics of their time.

Each sheet differs in manufacturing technique, decorative pattern, and official seal depending on region and period. Some were produced for imperial or governmental tribute. As one of the Four Treasures of the Study (wenfang sibao), these papers represent the technical and artistic pinnacle of traditional Chinese papermaking.

  • Undated: High-grade calligraphy and painting xuan paper (19 bundles, 190 sheets)
